HD Texture Packs

Open Mods, enable HD Texture Packs, and click Open folder beside Texture pack
folder. The default folder is mods/texture-packs/SCUS-94236 beside the executable.
Put compatible DuckStation PNG/JPEG/static WebP artwork in replacements, then click Play with
Load replacements enabled and the OpenGL renderer selected.

To collect originals, enable Dump textures and play the areas you want to edit.
Capture combines used areas across each source's lifetime. Original texture
PNGs appear in dumps when sources retire; exit the game to finish pending PNGs.
Keep their filenames when placing edited or enlarged images in replacements.
Restart with Dump textures disabled to use
the finished pack. Options and newly added files apply on the next Play.

Default capture tracks uploads, skips C16, uses minimum 16x16 texture dimensions,
and reduces palette ranges. Small sprite parts may be absent. Texture captures
are separate PSX sources and palettes, not reconstructed characters. The optional
example pack includes an inactive config.yaml.example with root-level settings
and a friendly-filename Aliases example. See the full guide before changing it.

No game textures or third-party texture artwork are included. See
docs/HD_TEXTURE_PACKS.md in the source repository for the full workflow and
compatibility limits.
