Scope notes:

This MIT grant covers the port-specific source code in this repository — the
`port/` layer, build scripts under `scripts/`, helper tools under `tools/` and
`debug_tools/`, CMake configuration, documentation, and YAML extraction
configs.

It does NOT extend to:

  * Anything owned by Nintendo / HAL Laboratory (game code, data, audio,
textures, models, trademarks). None of that is included in this
    repository.
  * The decompiled C source under the `decomp/` submodule, which is derived
    from the VetriTheRetri/ssb-decomp-re project
(https://github.com/VetriTheRetri/ssb-decomp-re). At the time of writing,
the upstream decompilation does not publish an explicit license; this
repository makes no copyright claim over the decompiled source and
incorporates it by reference as a submodule. Refer to the upstream
project (and its contributors) for any rights, terms, or restrictions
governing reuse of the decomp tree.
  * Decomp-derived content elsewhere in this repository, even though these
files live outside the `decomp/` submodule. They originate (verbatim or
derivatively) from the decomp's symbol and file-name tables; the port
makes no copyright claim over their content and defers to the upstream
decomp project on the same terms as the `decomp/` submodule above:
      - `tools/reloc_data_symbols.us.txt` — vendored verbatim from
        ssb-decomp-re's `symbols/reloc_data_symbols.us.txt`.
      - `tools/relocFileDescriptions.us.txt` — decomp-authored file-name
        table.
      - `include/reloc_data.h` — auto-generated mirror of the symbols
        table.
      - `port/resource/RelocFileTable.cpp` — auto-generated
`file_id` → resource path mapping derived from the decomp's
        symbol/file-name tables.
      - `yamls/us/reloc_*.yml` — auto-generated Torch extraction recipes
        keyed on decomp symbol names.
The generator scripts under `tools/` (`generate_reloc_stubs.py`,
    `generate_reloc_table.py`, `generate_yamls.py`) are port-authored and
remain MIT-licensed; only the content they emit — when that content
originates from the decomp — is subject to the upstream-deference
    clause above.
  * The `libultraship/` submodule (https://github.com/Kenix3/libultraship),
licensed independently by its upstream maintainers under the MIT License:
      Copyright (c) 2022 kenix3 <kenixwhisperwind@gmail.com>
libultraship was originated by the Harbour Masters team for the
Ship of Harkinian project and is now maintained at Kenix3/libultraship.
  * The `torch/` submodule (https://github.com/HarbourMasters/Torch),
licensed independently by its upstream maintainers under the MIT License:
      Copyright (c) 2023 Lywx <admin@undervolt.dev>
Torch is maintained by the Harbour Masters team.
  * The font assets bundled under `assets/custom/fonts/`, which are licensed
under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1:
      - Montserrat (Copyright 2011 The Montserrat Project Authors,
        https://github.com/JulietaUla/Montserrat) — see
        `assets/custom/fonts/Montserrat-OFL.txt`.
      - Inconsolata (Copyright 2006 The Inconsolata Project Authors,
        https://github.com/googlefonts/Inconsolata) — see
        `assets/custom/fonts/Inconsolata-OFL.txt`.
The full OFL text accompanies each font in its respective `*-OFL.txt`
file and governs use, modification, and redistribution of the font files.

Refer to each submodule and external project for its own license terms.
